2020-2021 Tenure Track Faculty Search The Department of Psychology at the University of Miami (UM) is seeking a full-time, tenured or tenure-track faculty member to join our department's Adult Division, as part of the College of Arts & Sciences cluster hiring initiative to appoint up to ten new faculty members whose intellectual and pedagogical expertise engages race. We are seeking a faculty member with expertise in affective or social psychological science and how these topics may intersect with Black/minority studies or mental health disparities. Specific area(s) of focus could span (but are not necessarily limited to) basic research on affective and social processes; intergroup processes; mechanistic studies of mental and health disparities and community-based research; and/or studies of racial justice or biases as they relate to social processes. With regard to specialty, we are open to a wide range, including experimental, neuroscience, clinical science, quantitative, and psychophysiology as applied to examine psychological mechanisms underlying human behavior.
